Just found the website which is most impressive!
I must say
one of the greatest things about the Carbrook other than the history, excellent
bar staff, service and facilities is the dj who plays Saturday night, who I
thought is quite fantastic! thanks for the work, love it!

One very good pub with good staff and a good pint thanks for
having all the Yorkshire Cable staff there last Friday thought it was
ace.
The best pub in Sheffield mine you still got to see this ghost that
everyonr keeps on going on about not seen it yet I was looking forward to it as
well.

there were some ghostly pictures on the sundaymass website last
week we recognised some of them with a distinct carbrook staff feel about them ,

In the 40s when I lived on Dunlop Street near the Carbrook Hall
the rest of the kids and myself always found the place a little frightening. It
was pretty run down then. We hated to go near it at night but every morning I
had to catch the tram (later came buses) to school at Tinsley & it still
looked spooky in the morning & evening light. Perhaps it is all
true.
